Vaid Construction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all construction and renovation services provided by Vaid Construction. By instructing us, accepting a quotation, or allowing works to commence, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Business Information
Vaid Construction operates as a self-employed business registered with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and trades as a sole trader. The business is owned and managed by Valentin Varnavici.
Vaid Construction provides services to both domestic and commercial clients.
2. Scope of Works
All works will be carried out in accordance with the agreed scope outlined in the written quotation, estimate, or agreed correspondence. Any work not expressly included in the agreed scope shall be considered additional and may incur extra charges.
3. Quotations & Pricing
All quotations are based on the information provided by the client and any site inspections carried out.
Pricing is determined based on project requirements, including labour, materials, duration, access, and site conditions.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, quoted prices include material costs required for the agreed works.
Quotations are valid for a limited period and may be withdrawn or revised if circumstances change.
4. Variations & Additional Works
Any changes requested by the client after works have commenced may result in additional costs and/or time extensions. Variations will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
5. Workforce & Subcontracting
Vaid Construction coordinates and outsources skilled tradespeople on a project-by-project basis, depending on the needs of each project. All workers involved will hold the appropriate experience, qualifications, and accreditations required for the work they carry out.
Vaid Construction remains responsible for the coordination and management of works in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
Provide accurate and complete information regarding the property and project
Ensure safe and reasonable access to the site
Disclose any known structural, electrical, plumbing, or asbestos-related issues prior to commencement
Obtain any necessary permissions, consents, or approvals unless otherwise agreed
Vaid Construction shall not be held liable for issues arising from failure to meet these responsibilities.
7. Timescales & Delays
Any timeframes provided are estimates only. Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, material availability, unforeseen site conditions, or changes requested by the client.
Vaid Construction shall not be liable for reasonable delays caused by such factors.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
Vaid Construction is not liable for defects, damages, or delays caused by client-supplied materials, instructions, or decisions
Vaid Construction is not liable for pre-existing or undisclosed issues within the property
Vaid Construction is not responsible for issues caused by client interference or third parties
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in the quotation or agreed in writing prior to commencement. Failure to make payments in accordance with agreed terms may result in suspension of works until payment is received.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement in writing. The client shall be responsible for payment of all works completed and materials ordered up to the termination date.
11. Website & Marketing Materials
All information on the Vaid Construction website and promotional materials is provided for general information only and does not form part of a contractual agreement unless confirmed in writing.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and materials created by Vaid Construction remain the property of Vaid Construction unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Related Policies
These Terms & Conditions should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy and Legal Notice. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
Additional Terms and Conditions
Client Acceptance
By accepting this quotation and/or instructing Vaid Construction to proceed with the works, the client confirms acceptance of the scope of works, pricing, and payment terms outlined herein and agrees to be bound by the Terms & Conditions of Vaid Construction, available on our website or upon request.
Acceptance may be confirmed by written agreement, email confirmation, or by allowing works to commence.
Payment Terms & Schedule
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payments shall be made as follows:
Deposit: [e.g. 20–30%] payable prior to commencement of works
Interim Payments: As agreed at key project milestones or at agreed intervals
Final Payment: Payable upon practical completion of the works
All invoices are payable within [7 / 14] days of the invoice date unless otherwise stated. Late payments may result in suspension of works until payment is received.
Materials may be required to be paid for in advance, particularly for bespoke or special-order items.
Warranty & Defects Liability
Vaid Construction warrants that all works will be carried out with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards.
A defects liability period of 6 months applies from the date of practical completion, during which Vaid Construction will remedy defects arising from workmanship, subject to the following exclusions:
This warranty does not cover:
Fair wear and tear
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance
Defects resulting from client-supplied materials
Issues arising from pre-existing or undisclosed property conditions
Works carried out by third parties after completion
This warranty is limited to the rectification of defective workmanship only and does not include consequential or indirect losses.
